National Minorities Park

The National Minorities Park (minzu fengqingyuan) is located near to pretty Liusha River, 1 km from Jinghong. Occupying an area of 30 hectares, the park is covered with all kinds of tropical and fruit tree. Six minority group customs are detailed here including Dai, Akha, Jinuo, Bulang, La and Ya. Each Wednesday and Saturday evening (and during the holiday season), the park hosts colorful minority folk activities consisting of dancing, drumming and song. When litchi and mango ripen, the park even sets up an orchard where visitors can handpick fruits.

How to get there: The park is conveniently located in the south of Jinghong city. A taxi should cost about RMB10.
