The Midway Gate to Heaven (zhongtinamen) is the highest place on the mountain that can be reached by vehicle. From this point on, you must have full confidence on your feet if you hope to make the climb to the peak. There are some good views over the Mountain from here and the cable car is located nearby, for those in need of a rest!
